Can I eat chocolate if I have a cold?

Chocolate is not recommended for patients with colds. Chocolate can cause aggravation of cough and phlegm symptoms. Clinically, it is recommended to consume easily digestible foods, such as noodles, noodle sheets and noodle soup, and not foods that tend to aggravate gastrointestinal symptoms, such as eggs and milk. Flu patients are not clinically advised to consume foods high in sugar, salt and grease, which can lead to aggravation of respiratory symptoms. Patients with colds are advised to consume clean, clean fruits and vegetables with adequate amounts of vitamins and minerals.
