If the meniscus has been significantly torn, sodium vitrate is not very effective in promoting healing of the meniscus, because the main function of sodium vitrate is to lubricate the joint cavity, thus reducing wear and tear and promoting cartilage repair and healing. If the meniscus is significantly torn and has not been sutured and repaired, sodium vitreous acid alone will have little effect. If the meniscus is already torn, surgical treatment such as arthroscopic meniscal suturing or partial meniscectomy is recommended, and sodium vitrate is not very useful. Sodium glacial injection may be useful for short-term pain relief and restoration of joint mobility, but it is not very useful for the overall treatment of the disease.
