How to treat bloody stools seen in advanced gallbladder cancer

Bloody stools appearing in late stage of gallbladder cancer are mostly caused by tumor rupture, tumor necrosis or tumor metastasis, which can be treated by general treatment, drug treatment and surgery. 1. General treatment: take bed rest, pay attention to diet and hygiene, avoid eating greasy and hard food. 2. Drug treatment: symptomatic supportive treatment, actively replenish blood volume, use hemostatic drugs such as phenolsulfonamide, aminocaproic acid and so on; chemotherapeutic drugs such as fluorouracil, gemcitabine and so on. 3. Surgical treatment: if there is persistent bleeding and conservative treatment cannot relieve it, palliative tumor resection can be used if the patient’s general condition is still good. 4. Interventional therapy: choose interventional therapy to embolize blood vessels supplying blood to the tumor, so as to control bleeding. The cause of bloody stools in advanced stage of gallbladder cancer should be actively identified and standardized treatment should be carried out as early as possible under the guidance of doctors.
