Can you work with osteoporosis?

If the patient has mild osteoporosis, he/she can work appropriately. If the patient has severe osteoporosis, it is not recommended to work. 1. Mild: For patients with mild osteoporosis, they may have aches and pains in many parts of the body, which will be aggravated by cold or overwork and relieved after resting. Moderate physical exercise or labor, such as slow walking, jogging, lifting dumbbells, riding bicycles, washing clothes, cleaning, etc., can improve blood circulation, increase the activity of osteoblasts, improve bone density and promote bone formation. 2. Severe: For patients with severe osteoporosis, it is usually not recommended to work, such as carrying, lifting heavy objects and other physical labor, because the denseness of the patient’s bone, the degree of force may be reduced, excessive physical labor, may cause fractures. Moderate exercise, such as walking, swimming, etc., can be performed to help adjust muscle strength, regulate muscle balance, maintain body coordination and avoid fractures. If osteoporosis is diagnosed, early and standardized treatment is recommended to reduce the adverse effects of the disease.
