Pulmonary fibrous streaks is an imaging description that is often found during chest imaging. Pulmonary fibrous streaks can be caused by pneumonia or tuberculosis that has been treated and the lesion has not been completely absorbed and scarring has occurred. In these patients, if they do not present with any symptoms, an enhanced CT can usually be avoided, but regular follow-up is recommended.
In some patients, the presence of pulmonary fibrous streaks may be due to the occupation of lung tumors, and is accompanied by chest pain, dyspnea, cough, sputum and other symptoms, which require further examination, either through enhanced CT or pathological examination to confirm the diagnosis.
