The biopsy of lymph node tissue takes about one week to issue the pathological diagnosis report, the specific reasons are as follows: 1, the lymph node tissue taken for pathological examination, the specimen has to go through a series of tissue section preparation processes such as extraction, fixation, dehydration, transparency, wax dipping, embedding, slicing, staining and sealing, so the production process takes longer; 2, especially the lymph node tissue for pathological paraffin section. The slice quality is high, and the slice thickness is relatively thin, so that it is conducive to the microscopic observation of the diagnosing physician; 3. If the lymph node tissue pathology diagnosis is benign and the lesion is typical, the pathology report will be issued relatively quickly. If the histopathological diagnosis of lymph nodes is malignant, especially the diagnosis and differential diagnosis are needed, for example, to identify epithelial-derived tumor or lymphatic-derived tumor, immunohistochemical staining should be done, which will take 2-3 days longer, so the issuance of the pathological diagnosis report will be delayed. In conclusion, in most cases, a biopsy of lymph nodes is usually issued within a week or so.
