Every year, November is the International Lung Cancer Awareness Month. The incidence rate and mortality rate of lung cancer in China are in the first place of malignant tumors. We hope to take International Lung Cancer Awareness Month as an opportunity to make people pay attention to lung cancer and its early symptoms. Lung cancer is insidious and not easy to detect, and many patients are already in advanced stage when they come to the clinic. Once lung cancer is found to be advanced, the survival rate of patients is much lower than those in the early stage. Early detection of lung cancer is the key to increase survival rate and improve prognosis. Lung cancer is not easy to be detected in early stage, but is it without any symptoms? Actually not, the body will often send out some warning signals when the disease develops. How to recognize these warning signs without being ignored is crucial. 1. Cough: It can be a mild dry cough or a severe cough with no sputum or little white sticky sputum. For smokers or patients with long-term chronic cough, once the coughing pattern and habits change, such as the nature of cough, different coughing sound, coughing aggravated with coughing sputum, be alert to lung cancer. 2. Blood sputum: Once smokers over 40 years old find blood sputum, blood sputum or blood clot, the possibility of lung cancer increases and they must go to hospital for examination. 3. Chest pain and discomfort: Early lung cancer chest pain is mild and mainly manifests as hidden pain with variable location. If it continues to swell and pain, it indicates that the tumor may involve the pleura. 4. Hypothermia: After the tumor blocks the bronchus, there is often obstructive pneumonia, which is prone to recurrent hypothermia and poor anti-inflammatory treatment. 5. Arthritis: It often coexists with pestle finger. It manifests as symptoms of wandering arthritis, burning pain in the joints of the limbs, and even impaired movement. 6. Wasting and weakness: When unexplained wasting and weakness occur, one should be alert to the possibility of malignant tumor and should go to hospital for examination. Pay attention to lung cancer, understand the above symptoms, pay attention to the alert signal and pay attention to health, and believe that lung cancer patients can be detected early and thus treated early.
