How to remove tartar yourself

It is not possible to remove the calculus by yourself, usually scaling and doing subgingival scraping is the only way to get rid of the calculus. It is recommended to go to the dentist for professional cleaning and regular cleaning.
1. Brushing and rinsing at home can only remove part of the plaque, the remaining plaque needs to be removed by scaling.
2. Brushing does not remove hard plaque, when there is plaque, it needs to be cleaned by ultrasonic oscillation, and professional instruments can be used to scrape away the plaque, commonly used are: hoe scraper, spoon scraper and so on.
3. The calculus above the gums can often be removed by scaling, while the calculus below the gums needs to be removed by subgingival scraping.
It is recommended that you have your teeth cleaned once every six months or so to maintain periodontal health.
