Do patients with ectopic pregnancy need surgery for spontaneous abortion?

The need for surgery for spontaneous abortion in patients with ectopic pregnancy depends on whether the abortion is clean or not. If a patient with ectopic pregnancy has symptoms of vaginal bleeding and goes to the hospital for a follow-up examination and finds a significant decrease in HCG, this situation is likely to result in a successful spontaneous miscarriage and requires a further visit to the hospital for an ultrasound examination to see how much of the tubal gestational sac remains. If there is more residual, but there is no obvious abdominal pain, hospitalization is required and can be treated with conservative treatment method. Surgery for ectopic pregnancy includes laparoscopic surgery or open surgery. Only when there is active bleeding in the abdomen, abdominal pain symptoms are more severe, or hemorrhagic shock is produced, timely surgical treatment is required.
