Surgery for lacrimal duct obstruction usually requires hospitalization, and this procedure is a relatively major one, especially in patients who require a nasal lacrimal sac anastomosis style. If a simple lacrimal duct placement without lacrimal laser is performed, it can usually be done on an outpatient basis, but in the vast majority of cases, hospitalization is also required. In the case of lacrimal duct placement with lacrimal laser, it is usually better to be hospitalized for lacrimal surgery to facilitate postoperative observation and medication, and in the case of nasal lacrimal sac anastomosis, a series of recovery treatments such as infusion and anti-infection may be required after surgery. Therefore, the majority of cases of lacrimal duct obstruction surgery require hospitalization to facilitate the recovery of the disease and control of complications.
