The performance of rectal cancer cannot be predicted until 7 days before the end of life, but at this time, the advanced stage of rectal cancer is usually reached, and there may be rectal irritation symptoms, bloody and mucus stools, intestinal stenosis symptoms, corresponding symptoms caused by invasion of surrounding tissues or metastasis to distant organs, and lethargy and fatigue, and so on.
1. Rectal irritation symptoms: because of inflammation and cancer stimulation, there will be increased frequency of bowel movement and constipation. Before defecation, there will be urgency and heaviness, feeling of incomplete defecation, and lower abdominal pain in late stage.
2. Bloody stool and mucus stool: the stool will have blood and mucus due to the rupture of cancer tumor, and even pus and blood stool will appear.
3. Symptoms of intestinal stenosis: invasion of intestinal canal by cancer will cause intestinal stenosis, which may lead to partial obstruction of intestinal canal, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, hyperactive bowel sounds and other manifestations.
4. Symptoms caused by invasion of surrounding tissues or metastasis to distant organs: invasion of prostate gland and bladder may cause frequent urination, painful urination and hematuria. Jaundice and ascites may occur if the disease has metastasized to the liver.
5. Emaciation and fatigue: due to the consumptive effect of cancer, emaciation, fatigue, anemia and other manifestations will occur.
In addition, due to the consumptive effect of rectal cancer, serious bloody stools and liver metastasis occurring in the late stage, etc., all of them may lead to blurred consciousness, lethargy, coma and other manifestations on the day before death.
