The instructions for Mingmu Di Huang Wan do not specify whether it is hot or cool, and it cannot be simply characterized as hot or cold as a single-flavored drug.
Mingmu Di Huang Wan consists of ripe rhubarb, cornelian cherry, poria, Chinese yam, mudanpi, chrysanthemum, wolfberry, angelica sinensis, white peony, shi jingming, tribulus terrestris, of which ripe rhubarb, cornelian cherry and tribulus terrestris are hot, mudanpi, chrysanthemum, angelica sinensis, white peony and shi jingming are cold; there are both hot and cool medicines, therefore, it is not clear whether the Mingmu Di Huang Wan belongs to the hot or the cool nature.
Mingmu Di Huang Wan has the effect of tonifying the liver and kidneys, and is suitable for symptoms such as dry eyes, tearing, blurred vision, and eyes afraid of light caused by insufficiency of the liver and kidneys (weakness of the liver and kidneys). It should not be used by patients with colds; avoid smoking, alcohol, spicy and stimulating food during the period of taking the medicine.
