Tinea pedis, or ringworm of the feet, can be divided into blistering, scaly keratinized and macerated vesicles. 1. General treatment: timely and thorough treatment should be carried out, and those with nail fungus disease should be treated at the same time, so as to eliminate the source of infection; daily wear shoes and socks with good breathability to keep the feet dry; maintain foot hygiene, change shoes and socks in time, and don’t share shoes, socks, bathtubs, footbaths and other daily necessities.
2. Topical drug therapy: different drugs should be chosen according to different clinical types, such as blister type should choose less irritating drugs, such as clotrimazole solution, etc.; impregnated vesicles can be used with boric acid lotion and wet compress, and miconazole cream can be used to reduce the exudate, etc.; scaly keratosis pilaris can be used with tincture of compound benzoic acid and ketoconazole cream, etc., and sealing therapy can be used if necessary.
3. Systemic drug therapy: scaly keratinized tinea pedis or external drug therapy is not effective, can consider systemic drug therapy, such as oral itraconazole or terbinafine. When tinea pedis is secondary to bacterial infection, antibiotics such as cefradine should be used in combination, and anti-allergic drugs such as cetirizine should be given when tinea pedis is triggered.
