Can you give yourself an enema?

It is not recommended to take enemas yourself.
An enema is a certain amount of liquid, medication, and other ingredients that are delivered to the colon through the anus and rectum for the purpose of cleansing the intestines, softening stools, or treating a disease. Warm water enemas, soapy water enemas, and medicated enemas can usually be used. The enema may cause abdominal pain, sweating, panic and other adverse reactions, and in severe cases may lead to intestinal bleeding.
Improper posture may increase the likelihood of adverse reactions, and there is also the possibility that inaccurate control of the amount of medication or liquid may result in adverse reactions such as reduced effectiveness, diarrhea, and abdominal pain, which are dangerous. Therefore, it is recommended to treat under the guidance of a doctor, and it is not recommended to take enemas by yourself.
