Forsythia flower in water has certain effects of harmonizing the stomach and quickening the diaphragm, detoxifying the liver and regulating qi (regulating stagnation of liver qi), but the effects are limited, and its contraindications are not yet clear. Forsythia is slightly bitter in taste, warm in nature, and belongs to the liver and stomach meridians. It has the efficacy of harmonizing the stomach and detoxifying the liver and regulating qi, and can be used for liver and stomach qi pain, loss of appetite, belching (hiccups), vomiting and malaise, prune nucleus qi (similar to pharyngeal dysphagia), epigastric distension, and gastric qi pain. Adverse reactions and contraindications to this product are not known. Buddha’s Hand Flower is warm in nature, so it is recommended to be used sparingly or not used for Yang deficiency and body heat. Spicy and stimulating food should not be eaten while taking it. Infusion of water does not allow the active ingredients of Forsythia to be completely precipitated, so it cannot exert the full effect. If you need to drink a moderate amount of water, and if you are not feeling well, you should consult a physician, not self-medication.
