Tibetan Lingzhi refers to Ganoderma lucidum, which has the effects of tranquilizing the mind and calming asthma. Ganoderma lucidum is the dried substrate of the fungus red ganoderma lucidum or purple ganoderma lucidum in the genus Ganoderma lucidum in the family of Polyporaceae, with a sweet flavor and a flat nature. It belongs to heart, lung, liver and kidney meridians. It has the effects of tonifying qi and tranquilizing the mind, relieving cough and calming asthma (stopping cough and calming wheezing). It is used for restlessness of the heart and mind, insomnia and palpitation (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), coughing and wheezing due to lung deficiency, shortness of breath due to fatigue, and inability to think about food and drink. Ganoderma lucidum with jujube kernel can benefit qi and replenish blood (replenish qi and blood in the body) to calm the mind, and is used for insomnia and excessive dreaming caused by insufficient qi and blood and lack of nourishment for the mind and spirit; Ganoderma lucidum with ginseng can be used to treat all symptoms of deficiency and fatigue. Ganoderma with ginseng can be used for treating symptoms of deficiency and labor. Ganoderma is not recommended for those with solid symptoms or those who are at the beginning of external infection.
