The diagnosis of nasopharyngeal cancer cannot be ruled out on the basis of no bleeding from the nose. Nasopharyngeal cancer symptoms include snotting and bleeding, tinnitus, nasal congestion, headache, etc. Not all of the above mentioned symptoms can be found in nasopharyngeal cancer. 1. Snot blood, nose bleeding: some nasopharyngeal cancer patients may have blood in “sputum” when they suck back the nasal cavity with force, and nose bleeding may occur in serious cases of nasopharyngeal cancer. However, not all nasopharyngeal cancer patients will have symptoms of blood in the nose and nosebleed, so the diagnosis of nasopharyngeal cancer cannot be ruled out on the basis of “no nosebleed”. 2. Tinnitus: Tumor infiltration of nasopharyngeal cancer compresses the pharyngeal opening of Eustachian tube, which will cause symptoms of secretory otitis media, such as tinnitus and hearing loss. 3. Nasal congestion: infiltration of nasopharyngeal cancer to posterior nostril area and anterior wall of nasopharyngeal roof can cause nasal congestion. 4. Headache: nasopharyngeal cancer can cause headache, and the pain is mostly unilateral and persistent. If there are other suspicious symptoms of nasopharyngeal cancer, even if there is no nosebleed, we should be alert and suggest going to the hospital as soon as possible for examination and clear diagnosis.
