Growing pimples and redness is the manifestation of acne. There is no so-called fast way to get rid of acne, and the symptoms can be relieved by medication and physical therapy, including topical medication, oral medication, photodynamic therapy, laser therapy and so on. 1. Medication: (1) Topical medication: Vitamin A acid cream can be used externally as prescribed by doctor, commonly used are adapalene gel, tazarotene, vinpocetine, etc. At the same time, antibiotics can be used externally as prescribed by doctor, commonly used are fusidic acid cream, erythromycin ointment and lincomycin. (2) Oral drugs: oral antibiotics can be taken as prescribed by the doctor, commonly used doxycycline, metronidazole and so on. Oral anti-androgen drugs can also be prescribed for acne with hyperandrogenic manifestations, female post-pubertal acne, and acne aggravated before menstruation, such as compound kynurenine, spironolactone, and so on. 2. Physical therapy: (1) Photodynamic therapy: Combined application of red and blue light irradiation as well as 5-amino ketovaleric acid can destroy Propionibacterium acnes through photodynamic effect to reduce inflammatory response. (2) Laser therapy: Scarring should be treated at a later age when acne is largely controlled. Atrophic scarring can be treated with erbium laser or super pulsed carbon dioxide laser resurfacing. If acne is present, patients are advised to go to the hospital and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
