Women with multiple abortions

The combination of mifepristone and misoprostol is currently a commonly used highly effective pharmacologic abortion regimen, both vaginally and orally with misoprostol, and still 3% to 5% of women will require evacuation after the use of the drug. Studies have suggested that multiple menstrual deliveries, history of cesarean delivery, obesity, initial hCG values, advanced age, and history of spontaneous abortion may be high risk factors for the need for evacuation after a second pregnancy with medication. In a cohort study of women using mifepristone and misoprostol within 63 days of pregnancy, Dr. Reeves et al. of the Bloomberg School of Public Health found that multiple menstrual deliveries (5 or more)
