One acupoint to stop bleeding

Clinically, the most effective acupuncture point for treating bleeding due to leakage (excessive menstrual flow or dribbling) is the Yinbai point of the Spleen meridian, which can be operated by acupuncture or moxibustion to alleviate the related symptoms, but the claim that one acupuncture point can solve the problem is too exaggerated. For the female gynecological disease of leakage, more studies have proved that the Yinbai point of the Spleen meridian can play an obvious therapeutic effect, and it has been clinically used as a special point for the treatment of leakage. The Yinbai point is a well point of the spleen meridian, located about 0.1 inch from the nail root angle on the medial side of the last section of the big toe of the foot, and it is recorded in the Acupuncture and Moxibustion Dacheng that it is the main point for abdominal distension, gasping and fullness that prevents one from lying down peacefully, vomiting and inability to keep food in the stomach, violent leakage, epistaxis, women’s menstruation being out of fashion, and children’s slow convulsions and other illnesses. Therefore, when treating the symptoms of leakage, the first choice is the Yinbai point of the Spleen meridian, and moxibustion is usually used in the treatment due to the fact that it is not suitable to leave needles in the shallow muscles of this area. It is recommended to go to the hospital as soon as possible when symptoms of leakage occur, and use the appropriate treatment under the advice of the doctor, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
