Common causes of blisters on the side of the feet (medically known as blisters) include wear and tear, hand, foot and mouth disease, ringworm, sweat herpes, and so on.
1. Wear and tear: If you wear unsuitable shoes and often wear the skin of your feet, it will easily lead to skin breakage and extravasation of tissue fluid, resulting in blisters on the feet.
2. Hand, foot and mouth disease: this disease is mainly caused by enterovirus infection, common enteroviruses include coxsackievirus, echovirus, etc. It manifests itself as red maculopapular rash, blisters, maculopapular rash and other symptoms on the skin of hands, feet, buttocks and other parts of the body.
3. Tinea pedis: this disease is mainly caused by dermatophyte infection, and common dermatophytes include Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes and Plaster-like microsporidia. The symptoms include blisters, erythema, papules and scales on the edge of the foot and toes.
4. Sweat herpes: the cause of this disease is unknown, may be associated with mental stress, excessive foot sweating, fungal infections and other factors, manifested as small blisters deep in the epidermis, the size of a needle tip to a grain of rice.
