Be wary of how much the alpha-fetoprotein exceeds

Alpha-fetoprotein comes from the liver cells of embryos, when it increases, it suggests liver cancer, the index is different in each hospital, but if it is more than 10ng/mL, it needs to be alert. Generally speaking, infants and young children, pregnant women, mild hepatitis, liver injury and other patients, there will be a mild increase in alpha-fetoprotein, but at this time the increase in alpha-fetoprotein is not obvious, generally less than 10ng/mL, and with the age of the growth of pregnant women after delivery, liver cell recovery will return to normal. If alpha-fetoprotein is higher than 10ng/mL or even more than 200ng/mL, it is generally considered that the patient may have liver cancer, at this time, we need to be vigilant, and we suggest that we improve the abdominal CT, abdominal MRI, liver puncture, etc. as soon as possible to clarify whether there is liver cancer, and carry out the alpha-fetoprotein examination regularly. If the alpha-fetoprotein is persistently increased, it is necessary to be alert to the existence of hepatocellular carcinoma.
