Stroke is the word for “stroke”. When we talk about this disease, we immediately think of middle-aged and elderly people, but we do not know that stroke is getting closer to young people, according to domestic statistics, stroke in adults under 45 years old, i.e., young people’s stroke accounts for about 5% – 15% of all strokes, stroke has become one of the important causes of death and disability in young people. Why is the incidence of stroke among young people increasing? The culprit is an unhealthy lifestyle. Unhealthy lifestyles such as frequent drinking, smoking, low exercise, high-calorie diet, and excessive nightlife are the main causes of stroke in young people, while stressful work, mental tension, and emotional agitation aggravate the damage caused by these factors and lead to stroke. Studies have shown that smoking and alcohol consumption are the most risk factors for stroke in young people. Smoking increases the risk of stroke by 2 to 3.5 times, and the cerebral blood flow is significantly lower in smokers compared to nonsmokers, which accelerates cerebral arteriosclerosis and reduces the diastolic function of cerebral blood vessels. Long-term alcohol consumption, especially excessive alcohol consumption, can raise blood pressure, affect the coagulation system, increase platelet aggregation and blood coagulation, and also decrease local blood flow to the brain. The incidence of stroke in alcoholics is four to five times higher than in the general population and is more likely to cause cerebral hemorrhage. Reduced activity, unreasonable diet and mental stress can accelerate the occurrence and development of hypertension, hyperlipidemia and hyperglycemia, which accelerate the occurrence of stroke. It is important to avoid poor lifestyle and try to adjust to a healthy standard by quitting smoking, limiting alcohol, having a balanced diet, exercising, controlling weight, regular rest and maintaining a calm and healthy state of mind. Strengthening primary and secondary prevention, controlling hypertension, high blood pressure and high blood sugar will save half of them from the danger of stroke.
