Realistic nodules in the pleura may be lymph nodes, or may be seen in other conditions such as cysts or tumors. 1. Lymph nodes: the lymphatic tissue around the pleural tissue is relatively rich, if the pleural tissue is infected with inflammation, it is likely to lead to reactive enlargement of the local lymph nodes, and localized solid nodules will be found during examination. 2. Cysts: cysts may also appear in pleural tissue, which is related to congenital genetic factors in most cases, and some cysts may also appear as solid nodules. 3. Tumor: if the pleural tissue is hypodifferentiated, tumor tissue may be formed, which will also appear as localized solid nodules, and if the degree of malignancy of the nodule tissue is high, metastasis and spread are likely to occur. Solid pleural nodules are not necessarily lymph nodes, and the specific nature of the nodal tissue can be clarified through pathological biopsy. If necessary, timely medical treatment is needed to perform surgical resection of the diseased tissue to prevent malignant transformation leading to serious consequences, and regular review is also needed to have a better prognosis.
