Testicular syringomyelia is diagnosed as water hernia in Chinese medicine theory. Chinese medicine believes that the main pathogenesis is deficiency of kidney qi, dampness-heat infiltration (dampness and heat evils invade the intestines, bladder, pubic area, lower limbs, etc.) or kidney deficiency, cold and dampness, etc. After the clinician’s diagnosis, the basic principle of treatment is to warm the yang and tonify the kidneys (tonify the kidneys by replenishing the yang qi of the kidneys) or to clear heat and promote dampness (remove the heat and dampness evils from the body). 1. Evidence of deficiency of kidney qi: the lump increases in size when standing, decreases in size when lying down, and when the lump is too large, the scrotum is as bright as crystal. Chinese medicines such as Jisheng Kidney Qi Pills can be used to warm the kidneys and transform qi (warming and tonifying kidney yang qi to promote the operation of qi), and to induce diuresis and eliminate swelling (to promote urination and eliminate edema). 2. Damp-heat injection: dampness and warmth in the scrotum, or swelling and pain in the testicles, and red heat in urination. The use of Chinese medicine such as Dafenqing Drink has the effect of clearing heat and removing dampness (removing heat and dampness from the body). 3. Cold-dampness syndrome of kidney deficiency: It is mostly seen in people who have a long course of the disease, with cold scrotum, thickening of skin, swelling and discomfort. There may be a lack of color, fatigue (mental exhaustion, physical weakness), lumbago, weakness of legs, loose stools (fecal matter is thin and unshaped), and long and clear urine. The use of medicines such as Jia Wei Wu Ling San has the effect of warming the yang and transforming the qi (warming the yang qi in the body), and inducing dampness and promoting the flow of water (promoting the flow of water and fluid by removing dampness). If patients have syringomyelia, they need to consult a doctor in time, and carry out diagnosis and treatment according to the guidance of a professional doctor, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
