After a child has a cold and fever, the following measures should be taken: 1. Take the body temperature diligently: when the fever is below 38.5℃, drink more water and take physical cooling, such as cold compresses, antipyretic patches and warm water baths. When the body temperature exceeds 38.5℃, antipyretic drugs should be taken. When refusing drugs or accompanied by gastrointestinal symptoms, use antipyretic suppositories to lower the temperature; 2. When children are poorly spirited, fever persists, or even the body temperature rises in a short period of time and convulsions occur, they should be actively and promptly seen by a hospital.
