Subdural hematoma drilling and drainage is a relatively simple neurosurgical procedure. It is mainly used to treat chronic subdural hematomas as well as subacute subdural hematomas. First, the patient shaves all the hair in the surgical area, lies flat on the surgical bed, marks the surgical incision, then cleans and disinfects, wears gloves, and chooses 1% or 2% lidocaine for local infiltration anesthesia. After satisfactory anesthesia, the scalp was incised layer by layer to expose the skull, and the skull was drilled with a cranial electric drill, and the drilling was stopped to the subcranial dura mater layer. Then the dura mater was incised crosswise, and the bloody fluid was seen to flow out, waiting until the bloody fluid was basically released, and then flushing was carried out. After rinsing, the drainage tube was left in place. Finally, the whole operation is completed by suturing layer by layer.
