Invasive uroepithelial carcinoma refers to cancer of uroepithelial origin with invasive growth.
The epithelium of the urinary tract includes renal pelvis, ureter, bladder, etc. Cancer occurring in the epithelial tissues of this area is called uroepithelial carcinoma, and the common pathological type is uroepithelial carcinoma, while other rare types include squamous carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, sarcoma, and so on. Uroepithelial carcinoma belongs to malignant tumors, and the tumors often show infiltrative growth, i.e., the tumors grow in the direction of deeper epithelial layers and have the characteristics of wide base.
The most common type of uroepithelial carcinoma is bladder cancer, and the most common symptom is painless hematuria. Risk factors for bladder cancer include long-term smoking, exposure to chemical industry products, bladder infection or stone irritation.
Therefore, patients with a history of the above risk factors should consult a urologist as soon as possible and undergo appropriate examination and treatment if they develop hematuria.
