The survival time of lung cancer patients after 6 times of chemotherapy mainly depends on the type and severity of the tumor. Lung cancer chemotherapy is divided into postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy, preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy, and palliative chemotherapy for patients with advanced tumors. For early stage lung cancer patients with postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy, 6 times of chemotherapy can achieve very good efficacy and even clinical cure and long-term survival. Patients with small cell lung cancer may have a survival of only about 1 year after 6 times of chemotherapy. Pre-operative neoadjuvant chemotherapy is usually 4-8 courses, and 6 courses of chemotherapy can shrink the tumor and reduce the stage, providing the chance of radical treatment for surgery, and the patient is expected to survive for a long time if chemotherapy is continued after surgery. Patients who have palliative chemotherapy in late stage of lung cancer have a shorter survival time, which may be only 1-2 years. During chemotherapy for lung cancer, patients should choose light, easily digestible, high-calorie, high-protein and vitamin-rich food, and should have proper exercise after chemotherapy to enhance the immunity of the body.
