New technology for the treatment of urinary disorders

Patients with spinal cord injury or other nerve injuries from various causes will have urinary disorders, which manifest as difficulty in urination, urinary retention, frequent urination, difficulty in catheter insertion in severe cases, repeated infections and fever, and even ureteral extension, hydronephrosis, and uremia. It brings a lot of trouble and inconvenience to patients. In the past, after patients underwent urodynamic examination to clarify neurogenic bladder and typing, various medications were given to treat oxybutynin, terazosin, and tuboplasty, which mainly reduced the active forceps and had no significant effect on sphincter spasm. At present, the application of ultrasound-guided botulinum toxin injection therapy to improve dyspareunia is effective, with minimal side effects of minimally invasive treatment.
