Ankle sprain swelling can be healed in a few days

A simple ankle sprain, if not combined with ligament damage or ankle fracture, can generally heal in 2-3 weeks. Ankle sprains are more common in clinical practice, that is, ankle sprains. After sprains, the main manifestations are localized swelling and pain, limited ankle movement and difficulty walking. The correct treatment should be to restrict the ankle joint activities and apply local ice to reduce capillary bleeding and relieve swelling and pain, and go to the hospital for X-ray or CT examination as soon as possible to clarify the diagnosis. If local ligament damage or fracture is ruled out, the patient is usually advised to brake the ankle joint for two weeks, either by brace braking or plaster immobilization, to promote swelling and soft tissue damage repair. In addition, if the pain is severe, the patient can be treated with oral anti-inflammatory and analgesic medication, or localized hot compresses on the ankle joint.
