What’s wrong with clear, jelly-like sputum?

Each person will have a little sputum normally, but it may be swallowed directly with the swallowing action. If the sputum changes, consider that the patient has a disease, and the diseases corresponding to sputum of different colors and nature are also different. If clear jelly-like sputum appears, the most common causes are: first, pneumonia caused by Klebsiella infection, which appears suddenly and is accompanied by chills, high fever, chest pain, and even diarrhea and jaundice. Secondly, chronic pharyngitis, which may present with throat discomfort, dryness, irritating cough, and foreign body sensation. If there is a change in sputum, you need to go to the hospital for examination to find out the cause of the disease and treat it symptomatically.
