The efficacy of the silkworm

It is salty, pungent, and belongs to the liver and lung meridians, and has the effects of calming wind and stopping spasm, dispelling wind and pain, and resolving phlegm and dispersing knots. It is especially suitable for children with epilepsy and phlegm-heat. For convulsions caused by high fever in pediatric patients, Stachybotrys can be used in combination with Cicada and Crotalus. For convulsions caused by chronic diarrhea in children, the silkworm can be used in combination with Radix et Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Rhizoma Atractylodis, and Rhizoma Tenuiflora. For convulsions caused by tetanus, Silkworm can be combined with Scorpion, Nanxing and Cicada. This product has the effect of opening the meridians and can treat the distortion of the mouth and eyes caused by stroke. For headache, redness and swelling of the eyes caused by wind-heat in the liver meridian, Silkworm can be used with Mulberry leaf and Thornbush. For sore throat and hoarseness caused by external wind-heat, it can be used with Radix et Rhizoma oryzaeum, Peppermint and Fenghuang.
