Is celiac disease contagious?

Celiac disease is not contagious, and it is now clear that celiac disease is no longer appropriate as a diagnostic term for chronic cervical inflammation. Cervical erosion-like changes are only clinical signs, sometimes physiologic and sometimes pathologic. Physiologic columnar epithelial ectopia is most often seen in adolescents, women of childbearing age with high estrogen production, on oral contraceptives, or during pregnancy. Due to the effect of estrogen, the squamocolumnar junction is displaced and the cervix shows a localized erosion-like altered appearance. This condition is physiological and is not infectious without treatment. In addition, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and early cervical cancer can also cause cervical erosion-like changes, which are not contagious if they are cancerous or intraepithelial neoplasia. To clarify the extent of the lesion, cervical cytology and HPV examination, colposcopy or cervical biopsy if necessary, are needed to rule out cervical intraepithelial neoplasia or cervical cancer. If there are no heterogeneous cells, it is considered physiological and can be observed. Pay attention to sexual hygiene and keep the vulva clean.
