Is it dangerous to have a kidney puncture?

Whether or not having a kidney puncture is harmful to the body depends mainly on whether or not there are complications, such as hematuria, perinephric hematoma, and arteriovenous fistula. If there is no complication, there is usually no obvious harm; if there is a complication, it may cause some harm to the body. 1. Hematuria: the incidence of microscopic hematuria is almost 100%, and most of it disappears within 1~2 days. If the color of urine is darker, or there are blood clots in urine, it usually suggests that there is a large amount of bleeding, and there is a possibility of blood pressure drop at any time, so it should be opened for fluid transfusion immediately, and blood transfusion should be given if there is a drop in hemoglobin. If the blood pressure cannot be stabilized by adequate blood and fluid transfusion, immediate surgical treatment should be performed. 2. Perirenal hematoma: The occurrence of perirenal hematoma is also very common, but most of them are asymptomatic small hematomas, which can be absorbed by themselves and do not need any clinical treatment. If the hematoma is large, the patient’s activities should be strictly limited, if necessary, blood transfusion to stabilize blood pressure, the effect is not good, it should be timely surgical treatment. 3. Arteriovenous fistula: caused by renal puncture arteriovenous direct short circuit, most of the self-close, but there are long-term non-closure for several years. Severe arteriovenous fistula can be manifested as hematuria, perirenal hematoma, intractable hypertension, low back pain and lumbar vascular murmur and renal failure. Nowadays, arterial embolization is mostly used for treatment, which can achieve significant results. If the patient needs to carry out renal puncture biopsy, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital in time, under the guidance of the doctor to give targeted treatment or therapy.
