What are the glucocorticoid drugs

Glucocorticoids are secreted by the adrenal cortex fasciculus. Clinically, glucocorticoids are divided into three categories: short-acting, intermediate-acting, and long-acting, according to the duration of action. Short-acting hormones include cortisone and hydrocortisone, medium-acting ones include prednisone, prednisolone, methylprednisolone and trenbolone, and long-acting ones include dexamethasone, betamethasone and trenbolone. Glucocorticoids have a wide range of effects, including affecting metabolism, hormone replacement therapy, anti-inflammation, treatment of immune diseases, anti-allergy, anti-shock and treatment of hematologic diseases. Although glucocorticoids have a wide range of effects, they also have more adverse effects. When using these drugs, they should not be applied systemically if they can be used locally, should not be applied in large doses if they can be used in small doses, and should not be applied for a long time if they can be used for a short time. For patients with hormone-dependent asthma, it is recommended to replace oral medication with inhalation and to routinely rinse the mouth after inhalation to avoid oral ulcers and fungal infections caused by residual medication in the mouth.
