Treatment of ulcerative colitis

  General treatment: rest, diet and nutrition are emphasized. During the active period, rest should be adequate and liquid food should be given, and when the condition improves, it should be changed to a diet rich in nutrients and less dregs, and some patients should limit the intake of dairy products. Emotions have an impact on the disease, psychotherapy can be given.  Treatment in the active phase: proctitis Aminosalicylic acid or glucocorticoid enemas (daily at bedtime) can be supplemented with oral aminosalicylic acid preparations. Maintenance therapy in remission: Aminosalicylic acid must be given during the remission period, such as salbutamol, edisha, olanzapine, balsalazide, etc., for 1-2 years. Some patients can be treated with maintenance therapy such as azathioprine.
