Can a bulging eyeball be restored?

Whether or not a bulging eye can be recovered is largely related to the cause of the bulging eye. Eye bulges caused by trauma, inflammation, etc. can usually be recovered after treatment. However, if the bulge is caused by high myopia or hyperthyroidism, it is usually more difficult to recover.
Eye tissue is loose and fragile, when the eye is traumatized, it is easy to cause tissue congestion, edema, rupture of blood vessels and other symptoms, and the limited space in the eye socket, the eyeball will protrude when squeezed. This situation can be recovered after the trauma is repaired, the edema of the soft tissues in the orbit disappears and the bleeding is absorbed.
When inflammation occurs in the eye, the stimulation of local pathogenic bacteria will cause the eyelid and conjunctiva to be highly edematous, which will then squeeze the eyeball to protrude outward. In this case, through the local anti-infection treatment, so that the inflammation caused by the congestion and edema of the fundus will be relieved, and the symptoms of protruding eyeballs can be recovered.
High myopia can also lead to symptoms of protruding eyeballs, because high myopia will cause the eye axis to elongate, resulting in symptoms of protruding eyeballs, which are mostly irreversible, so it is difficult to recover from the symptoms of protruding eyeballs caused by high myopia.
Hyperthyroidism will lead to periorbital cell infiltration, edema and connective tissue proliferation, thus forming protruding eye symptoms, mild hyperthyroidism protruding eye, can be treated with hormone therapy, or intra-orbital decompression surgery, so that the protruding eyeballs have been repaired to a certain extent, but it is more difficult to recover completely.
If the symptoms of protruding eyeballs appear, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time to find out the cause of the disease and treat it under the guidance of a professional doctor, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
