A visible squamocolumnar junction is a good sign and is a commonly used colposcopic term. The squamocolumnar junction is a good site for cervical lesions, including high-grade cervical lesions or cervical malignancies. When the squamocolumnar junction is visible, the cancer-prone area is exposed to view. Therefore, no matter in performing TCT or HPV cervical cancer screening, or colposcopic cervical biopsy, it is easy to take the valuable and meaningful site, and it is not easy to miss the diagnosis, which is a good phenomenon, and it also becomes the cervical transformed area of type one. The squamocolumnar junction transformation zone of type II refers to the squamocolumnar junction being half visible and half invisible. The type 3 transformation zone, in which the squamocolumnar junction is invisible and retracts into the cervical canal, is common in postmenopausal women and is prone to underdiagnosis.
