Gray nails are a common fungal disease caused by a fungus that infects the nail plate as well as the subnail tissue. Clinical information and articles have been published on the use of ointments such as Daktarin for the treatment of gray nails, but this is not recommended as a first step in the clinical guidelines. The first recommended topical medication is an application, which is a liquid medication, such as cyclopirox, amorolfine, tincture of iodine, tioconazole solution, glacial acetic acid solution, and so on, which are more common medications. If the patient’s condition is not well controlled, it can be combined with oral antifungal drugs.
