High blood pressure after surgery

It is relatively common for patients to have elevated blood pressure after surgery, which can be triggered by stress or nervousness or pain stimulation, so it is recommended to closely monitor blood pressure and heart rate, and take antihypertensive medication if necessary. Patients without hypertension can take short-acting antihypertensive drugs, such as nifedipine tablets or captopril tablets, to lower blood pressure, which can also help improve the symptoms of chest tightness, panic or dizziness, headache. Patients with previous hypertension are recommended to take long-acting agents, such as Benadryl or Perindopril, to lower blood pressure; patients with abnormally high blood pressure, such as systolic blood pressure greater than 180mmHg, it is recommended that the patient can be pumped intravenously to lower the blood pressure by sodium nitroprusside, if necessary.
