What is Near Reflex

The change in the pupil when looking at a near object is commonly known as the near reflex, also known as the modulation reflex. Its function is to narrow the pupil when looking at a near object, and at the same time to reduce the incoming light of the cornea, to reduce various aberrations of the cornea, to make the object more realistic, to reduce astigmatism, and to reduce the color of light. The specific pathway is reflected through the optic nerve to the optic nerve, and through the downward pathway of the optic nerve, it reaches the ciliary muscle of the eye, and the contraction of the ciliary muscle and pupillary sphincter causes the pupil to narrow, while the contraction of the ciliary muscle causes the lens to become convex, so that near objects can be imaged on the retina, which is commonly known as the near reflex, which is a series of reflexes combined reflex.
