Ochre is effective in calming the liver and subduing yang (suppressing too much rising yang in the liver), re-centering and subduing rebelliousness, cooling the blood and stopping bleeding. It is mainly used in the treatment of dizziness, eye distension and tinnitus caused by gas reversal and wheezing, and hyperactivity of Liver-Yang (excessive Liver-Yang, causing dizziness, dizziness, headache and other symptoms).
