Atrophic gastritis won’t develop seriously if you take lamb’s stomach and folic acid tablets

Treatment of atrophic gastritis with lamb’s stomach and folic acid tablets alone will not always be effective. Atrophic gastritis is generally categorized into multifocal atrophic gastritis and autoimmune gastritis. The former is mostly caused by Helicobacter pylori infection, while the latter is related to autoimmune function abnormalities. Therefore, if there is H. pylori infection, H. pylori should be eradicated, and treatment should be given to promote digestion, protect the gastric mucosa, and inhibit gastric acid secretion. Some patients with atrophic gastritis will occur pernicious anemia, lamb’s stomach contains high vitamin B12, which is beneficial to the treatment of pernicious anemia. Currently there are studies proving that moderate supplementation of folic acid is beneficial to promote gastric mucosa repair. However, whether it is necessary to assist in the treatment of atrophic gastritis through lamb’s stomach and folic acid tablets needs to be judged by a gastroenterologist. The treatment of atrophic gastritis should be standardized and individualized, with timely review and selection of medication according to the development of the disease.
