The main eye diseases that can cause curved vision are central plasma retinitis choroidopathy, age-related macular degeneration and retinal detachment that occur in the macula. Eye diseases that cause straight line curvature mostly involve the macula, which is an important structure that produces visual information. When diseases such as retinal detachment involve the macula, curvature of vision and loss of visual acuity will occur, for example, centralized plasma choroidopathy occurs mainly in middle-aged males, and can be triggered by factors such as long-term mental stress. A more common cause of straight line curvature is age-related macular degeneration, which can also be categorized as dry and wet. Although both are affected by age, there are major differences in the onset, treatment and prognosis of the disease. It is recommended that sudden or progressive curvature of straight lines should be promptly consulted, and targeted treatment should be taken to save vision after completing fundus photography and other auxiliary examinations.
