What are the six major clinical manifestations of brainstem infarction

Brain stem infarction is the most serious kind of brain infarction, and there are six main symptoms of brain stem infarction. First, the patient starts very rapidly and will have hemiparesis and choking on water. Due to the different blood vessels involved, the site of paralysis is not exactly the same, and it can be manifested as crossed paralysis. Second, in patients with brainstem infarction, it may lead to impaired consciousness, drowsiness and coma. Third, the patient will usually have difficulty swallowing and cannot eat. IV. There will be speech disorders, inability to speak or slurred or disordered speech. V. Due to increased intracranial pressure and cerebral edema, there may be significant headache, dizziness, sky spinning, and fainting. VI. Most patients will be accompanied by high fever that does not subside, and should be treated with timely application of drugs to dilate cerebral blood vessels, nourish brain cells, and lower intracranial pressure, and the changes in vital signs should be observed at all times.
