Once formed, scars from fire boils remain for life and cannot be eliminated, only softened. Depending on the severity of the scar, different methods of elimination are necessary.
1. For smaller and lighter scars, you can use scar removing creams (Mucopolysaccharide Sulfate Cream and Ascorbic Acid Gel, etc.) or Aloe Vera Gel to apply, and at the same time, take vitamin C tablets orally to slowly lighten the scars.
2. If the scars are serious but shallow, they can be eliminated by choosing pulsed fuel laser or carbon dioxide fractional laser.
3. Scars that are more serious and larger in size can be treated by surgery. As the scars formed by fire boils are usually small, they can be reduced by flap transfer.
Patients are advised to go to regular hospitals to follow the doctor’s instructions.
