The duration of pain relief from ibuprofen is related to the half-life; blood levels peak around 1 to 2 hours after taking ibuprofen, and pain relief usually lasts 6 to 8 hours. The duration of action of ibuprofen extended-release tablets is longer, lasting about 12 hours or so.
Ibuprofen belongs to the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, its main role is to inhibit certain enzymes and reduce the synthesis of prostaglandins to achieve pain and anti-inflammatory effect, but also through the hypothalamus thermoregulatory center to play a cooling effect.

Ibuprofen has a greater stimulating effect on the gastric mucosa, large quantities or long-term use of ibuprofen, there are chances of causing gastric ulcers, or even gastric perforation, so it is recommended to take it after meals.
Ibuprofen is contraindicated in people who are allergic to the product, patients with active peptic ulcers, pregnant and lactating women.
