Side effects of compound ketoconazole ointment

Compound ketoconazole ointment, whose main ingredient is ketoconazole, along with propionic acid, clobetasol, and neomycin sulfate, is an anti-infective drug for the skin, mainly used for superficial fungal infections of the skin. Side effects may occur after administration, such as symptoms of skin irritation, manifested as erythema, burning, itching, tingling, folliculitis, skin atrophy, thinning, and capillary dilation. If symptoms such as burning sensation, redness and swelling occur at the administration site please stop the medication immediately and wash the topical medication. Do not let the medicine touch the eyes and other mucous membranes, such as the mouth and nasal cavity, to avoid discomfort. It is best not to use the medicine on thin skin areas such as the face, underarms, groin and vulva. If you have ringworm, you should not wear tight underwear or underwear made of chemical fibers; it is best to wear cotton, loose underwear. Patients with tinea pedis need to dry their skin after washing their feet, change their cotton socks daily and wear breathable shoes. To reduce the recurrence of infections, patients with infections such as Candida, ringworm, ringworm and lichen planus need to be medicated for at least two to four weeks, and seborrheic dermatitis needs to be medicated for four weeks.
