Coronary CT scan, what position is required

Coronary CT examination, usually requires a supine position.
Coronary artery CT examination, i.e. coronary artery CT imaging, is an auxiliary examination used to understand the anatomy of coronary artery lesions. During the examination, the patient is usually placed in a supine position, with the head placed flat in a head rest, arms raised or flexed to hold the head, and instructions to “inhale, hold the breath, and gasp” are followed.
Coronary CT requires an intravenous injection of contrast material and is used to check for normal arterial vessels, narrowing of coronary vessels, and to screen for coronary artery disease. Before the test, it is important to remove any metal objects from the chest, such as bras, necklaces, and metal zippers.
The doctor will inform you of the specifics at the time of the test, and you may consult your local hospital if you do not understand.
